High Definition Display Tablet

The display tablet that comes with this Ambient Weather weather station is high definition. It has bright and dynamic colors so it’s easy on the eyes.

It uses both a light and dark-colored background. It automatically adjusts the light based on the time of day and your location.

It uses a 2.4GHz frequency.

The entire display is measured at 7.75 inches by 5.75 inches by 0.75 inches. The LCD display is measured at 6.25 inches by 3.5 inches.

With this tablet, you can connect to both Wi-Fi and the internet. It uses NIST internet time server sync.

It combines the data that you’re receiving into easy to digest information.

This personal weather station can measure typical ambient weather station information such as outdoor temperature, humidity, rainfall, and indoor temperature.

It also can measure ‘feels like’ temperature that includes both the wind chill and heat index. It also lets you examine the dew point, barometric pressure, wind speed, wind direction, wind gust, 10-minute wind speed and direction, and weather forecast.

That’s just for starters.

When you give it your location it will tell you the moon phase of that night or what the sun is doing that day.

With this display, you can also view the minimum and maximum conditions of the day with a time and date stamp and historical archived data.

It allows you to backup the archived data onto an SD card.

You can also mount your display to the wall or wherever you need it as long as it’s within 300 feet of the sensor. Any optional sensors must be within 80 feet of the display.

It has an AC adapter that must be plugged in to use. This is because the display uses 500mw of power and batteries alone can’t handle the power.

It includes the wall charger.

Connects to the Ambient Weather Network

When you use an Ambient Weather station you are creating your own weather server. In real-time (or within 16 seconds), data from your weather station is sent directly to the Ambient Weather weather.

Using the Ambient Weather website to track your weather data allows you to monitor your data not just on the display that comes with your weather station.

You can view the data on your computer or even on your cell phone through their app.

Ambient Weather has a responsive and easy to use web design on their website and app.

It even works with Google Assistant and Alexa, as well as other smart home programs and devices.

Using a smart home device lets you use IFTTT. IFTTT allows you to control things like the temperature or even your sprinklers.

This weather station uses 915 MHz wireless transmission with up to 300 feet line of sight range.

Not only does it connect to the Ambient Weather network but it also connects to Wunderground.

Wunderground lets you view and compare your data to the data from your local weather stations. They even create customizable charts and graphs so you can easily compare the data.
